Welcome aboard!

We are so excited you’re here investing time to learn more about Odyssey Leadership Academy! We started Odyssey for several reasons, chief among them is that we believe students are capable of doing great things now; that they do not have to wait until they are adults to be difference makers in the world. We intentionally charted a path for those who want to change the world!

Interested in learning more? Before applying, we invite students to experience Odyssey firsthand with a Shadow Day. Shadow Days happen during the regular school day. Your student will have the opportunity to experience mentor time, class, lunch, and an afternoon elective alongside a current student!

Before setting up a Shadow Day, we ask families to take a few minutes to complete our Introductory Questions. This will help us get to know your student and cultivate a Shadow Day intentionally for them! Once we read through your answers to the Introductory Questions, our Admissions Team will reach out to you about scheduling your Shadow Day!

We are excited for you to experience the Odyssey difference for yourself!

We are working hard to re-imagine education. What might it look like if classes unleashed creativity and enthusiasm? What if students got to choose what they wanted to learn based upon their interest and passions? What if schools were places where enriching scholarly inquiry met innovative design thinking? What if education cared for students and helped them become the best versions of themselves? What if the world were your classroom?

OLA provides an ecosystem of care wherein each and every student is known, valued, and cherished precisely for who they are. We exist to be a place that shapes the imaginations and affections of our students not merely to prepare them for the real world, but to help them shape a better world for us all.

Aimee Bean

“We are the Bean family! We are a family of five who love outdoor adventures, especially those that involve mountain bikes! We homeschooled our children for many years until we felt our middle child, Tegan, needed and wanted more than what we were able to offer. We discovered Odyssey Leadership Academy through a friend and after meeting with the executive director, touring the school, and reading extensively about the school's vision, we realized we had discovered exactly what we were looking for: a school that values the character and individuality of their students as much as the education they impart. We couldn't be more pleased with the school as a whole. Our son is thriving and learning at a level most would not expect a 6th grader. He is excited about and looks forward to school everyday. Our once late-rising kid now jumps out of bed with such enthusiasm, anticipating meeting with his mentors and peers. We absolutely love everything about this school and are so grateful for the opportunity to send our son here. We would love to speak to you personally about OLA and look forward to sharing our experiences with you.”

“As parents of a bright and thoughtful child, we are so glad to have found Odyssey. Some of the challenges of public school with large class size and a more rigid structure created some tension and frustration as we moved from elementary into middle school. Odyssey’s approach to looking at each student’s strengths and weaknesses and matching them with a mentor and a peer group has been wonderful in regards to building a foundation rapidly at a new school and a sense of security and trust for our child at the school. That opened the door to receptiveness and openness to really take advantage of the unique course structure across quarters focused on just a few classes. This deeper dive into the substance of particular subjects has been thought and conversation provoking for all of our family and very rewarding for our student. Dr Martin and all of the Odyssey faculty put so much thought and consideration into their work of creating community and fostering these bright young students into early adulthood with social and academic skills well beyond the norm for any school. Odyssey has been a wonderful experience for our family.”
